About us

Passion, Energy, Execution, Personal Accountability

Everything we do starts with a passion for the game and a yearning to compete.  We start every session with a positive attitude; accept that our attitude is a decision; and make no excuses for negativity.  We also understand that proper preparation leads to execution.  We train as we play and play as we train.  We expect to out-work every opponent in every game; play intelligently; and execute efficiently. In order to achieve success, on and off the field, we must care more about TEAM (Family) than about self.  The attitudes and choices made by any individual member reflect on his or her teammates, coaches, and the DSA organization as a whole.

Expectations of DSA

  • Develop an atmosphere of dominance
  • Demand excellence
  • Set the bar high and establish clear goals
  • Communicate effectively
  • Respect and care for players and staff
  • Promote consistency in players and staff
  • Produce elite players
  • Develop young men and women of exceptional character

DSA Coaching Philosophy

We strongly believe that the team reflects the personality of their coach. Our philosophy revolves around the core belief that players will play HARD for people they genuinely care about and people who have taken the time to cultivate REAL relationships with them. This includes cultivating authentic relationships between teammates, club mates, coaches, and administrators. We think personal relationships are critical in the motivation of young people, and motivation is paramount to success. If these relationships do not exist, a true team will never result.”

Each Coach is expected to:

Act as a model for the program

Select a staff that reflects the Core Values of the Club

Set clear standards and expectations and communicate them effectively

Receive input from the team and adapt specific goals for each season

Be available to players

Demand respect of self, team, and the Celtic organization

Demand the same dedication, loyalty, selflessness from themselves that they ask of their players

Accept personal responsibility for the individual and collective development of the players

Be an excellent evaluator of players

Game plan effectively and adjust accordingly

Care deeply for the players as young men and women

Trust instincts

NEVER miss an opportunity to teach

Our Youth

Each player is expected to:

Put in the work

Arrive on time for meetings, practices, and games

Set individual goals and put in individual work on the player’s own time to achieve those goals

Communicate effectively with coaches

Communicate effectively with teammates

Ask for guidance when necessary

Be a leader.

“I believe the single most significant decision I can make on a day-to-day basis is my choice of attitude.  Attitude keeps me going or cripples my progress. It alone fuels my fire or assaults my hope. When my attitudes are right, there is no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme, no challenge too great for me.” – Charles Swindoll
